Chance is a high school senior, who plans on becoming a park ranger after college. Because of his blog, he was named a finalist for the 2007 International Young Ecological Hero Award.

Currently a junior ranger in about 40 parks, Chance is president of CHS SPEAK (Students Promoting Environmental Action and Knowledge), and the founder and president of the CHS Campus Greens.

He's a volunteer at Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area and has participated in dozens of park planning issues with the National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, and the Forest Service through NEPA.

If you enjoy Tennessee's natural parks and appreciate all that is being done to preserve their beauty and environmental impact in the community, you will appreciate this blog. Read all about it here... with lots of great pictures, too!
